JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman meets Abdullah Gul

RAWALPINDI,   (Parliament Times)  : Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman met Chairman Tehreek-e-Jawanan Pakistan (TJP) Mohammad Abdullah Gul at the residence of General Hamid Gul here on Thursday.

Maulana Fazal said that the government was trying to use the NAB only against the opposition and was trying to corner it which had caused a lot of losses. “The PDM is a reality like the government where mutual respect is essential in politics. Swearing and abusive speech does not open the way for dialogue rather close it.”

Speaking on the occasion, Abdullah Gul said that the state should not be dragged into politics. The integrity of the country should take precedence over all other things. “If there is a state, there is also politics.”

On the one hand, India was preparing for a false flag operation on Pakistan, on the other hand, we are facing resentment from our old friendly countries. At present, the government and the opposition should resolve issues by sitting together at the negotiating table instead of making statements over the media. “This not only lowers the morale of our institutions but also weakens them internationally.”

Abdullah Gul concluded that some responsible and impartial people should get involved in the situation between the government, the state and the opposition. They should not add more fuel to the fire and bring the situation to a point where there is a clash with the people.
