LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that I don’t have any intuition(ilham) like Sheikh Rasheed about Nawaz Sharif’s return. The opposition is not even united on whether to hold a long march or resign first. It is hoped that negotiation between the opposition and the government will begin in January and they will not have to resign or resort to Long March.Talking to media after the distribution of prizes at Polo Club Lahore on Tuesday, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that there was no doubt that the opposition had not yet agreed on the issue of long march and resignations and had not yet come to any conclusion. I hope that the opposition will make smart decisions and will come to the negotiating table. The solution to all the problems in the world is possible only through negotiations.Replying to a question regarding Nawaz Sharif’s repatriation to Pakistan, the Governor said that the federal government is looking into all the issues in this regard. He said that he has no intuition about Nawaz Sharif’s return. Sheikh Rashid is the Interior Minister. He certainly knows more about governmental affairs, he added. In reply to another question, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that all the governments including me and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar are on the same page. As far as bureaucracy is concerned, it is subordinate to Chief Executive, Sardar Usman Buzdar. The opposition is playing politics for political interests. They have nothing to do with the people. Accountability issues have nothing to do with the government. Accountability is done by NAB and other institutions. We believe in the rule of law. Political revenge of any kind is out of question. Next year British and South African cricket teams will also come to Pakistan. Foreign players have also come to Pakistan to play Polo.
