Governor Punjab administered oath to two members of Punjab Assembly
Lahore: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar administered the oath of office to two members of the Punjab Assembly while Provincial Information Advisor Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Assembly Members of PTI, Chief Secretary, I.G Punjab and others participated in the swearing in ceremony. Governor Punjab and others congratulated the two provincial ministers.
According to details, in the swearing-in ceremony held at Governor’s House Lahore on Wednesday, Governor Punjab administered the oath of Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari and Khayal Castro as Provincial Ministers. On the occasion, Provincial Advisor Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, MNA of PTI Farrukh Habib, Faizullah Kamkan, MPA Sadia Sohail, Political Secretary to Governor Punjab Mian Kashif Iqbal, IG and Chief Secretary Punjab and others were present. After the swearing-in ceremony, newly appointed Provincial Ministers Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari and Khayal Castro also had a meeting with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar.
On the other hand, while talking to party delegations, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the resignations of the opposition will not be submitted till December 31 and the government will not be blackmailed by the opposition. People have given us a 5-year mandate and despite opposition’s efforts, the government will complete its constitutional term and general elections will be held in 2023.
Governor Punjab said that despite the difficult situation due to Corona, the success of Pakistan’s economic field is unprecedented in the past and the opposition is unable to tolerate this due to which they are trying to halt the progress led by the government. These people have neither succeeded in the past, nor they will succeed in the future and the government will make the country strong and prosperous in all sectors including economy and the promises made to the people will be fulfilled, he reiterated.
