Jokhio Jasarat Ilyas Sindhi
Naumall was one of the famous supporter and hidden agent of British India during the British raid over Sindh (decade of 1840 A.D) to take over the state. He was a permanent resident of Sindh and his forefathers were from the area where there today is Khudabad city, district Dadu Sindh. Naumall was involved in raids against Talpur and Mirs of Sindh who were the last emperors of Indo Pak history before English government. When Chakar Khan Jokhio attacked British army near Gujjo, the British army was brutally killed and given punishments on raiding over Sindh after Miyani Battle, it was later pledged with full orders by the British Army Head Sir Charles Napier that the responding raid must be observed soon against Jokhia. Chakar Khan was nephew of Jam Maher Ali, the then chief of Jokhia tribe. Jokhia and the other brother tribes of hilly areas like; Qarrlmati and Burfat etc were accompanying Jam Maher Ali while British Army took over their dominance over the whole Karachi which was the then capital of Sindh country. Jam Maher Ali and his supporting tribes went Malmari the valley to hide themselves from British in response to the planned attack and raid to Chakar Khan’s attempt of Gujjo. The ways and paths of Malmari were too tough to walk on horses and by foot, shortage of water also was on the hand. Naunmal was leading the troops in the leadership of few Memon brothers of locality who were aware of the roots of Kohistan which were about to die in a quick and eye blinking. Naumall reached with troops against Jokhia and sibling tribes at the location of Luck and Karo Murr where there’s an ancient graveyard found today. Mr. Sakhramdaas was also brother of Naunmall who was also heading separate officers of British Army towards Malmari to attack Jokhia and Qallmati tribes who were concealed near the valley. The famous English writer and British Army Captain Outram C.B has also discussed about the attack on Jokhia and their night stays at Malmari valley near the famous graveyard near rainwater storage location with the noun epithet of “Kro Mur” which is today near the newly constructed dam of Malmari and a breezing cool place called “khararo”. This is the epithet discussion with reference to the famous book of Naumal titled as “Yaadgiriyoon” means Memoirs.
