Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 1296.964 Kgs narcotics valuing US$ 89.039 Million internationally, arrested 16 culprits and impounded 14 vehicles conducting 21 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country. The seized drugs comprised of 49.37 Kg Hashish, 21.274 Kg Heroin, 1165.31 Kg Opium, 6.010 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) & 55 Kg Morphine.
ANF Balochistan, the staff of Police Station Turbat recovered 20 Kg Opium & 6 Kg Heroin from Toyota Surf Car which was parked near Bulaida Cross situated at Hushab Turbat road Jusak Tehsil Turbat, District Kech. In another operation, the staff of Police Station Dalbandin recovered 45 Kg Morphine & 5 Kg Methamphetamine Ice from 2 x Iranian Motorcycles parked at Baraji mountainious area Tehsil Dalbandin Distrcit Chagi. In third operation, Police Station Dalbandin recovered 10 Kg Morphine from 2 x Motorcycles which were parked in an abandoned house situated at General Area of Killi Haji Nazar, Tehsil Dalbandin, District Chagi. In the fourth operation, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Balochistan recovered 1.060 Kg Heroin alongwith motorcycle near AK Mover Bus Stop Cantt road, District Quetta. An accused namely Nasrullah Shah resident of Noshki was arrested on the spot. In fifth operation, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Balochistan recovered 925 Kg Opium from Killi Nohsar, Tehsil & District Quetta.
ANF North, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Rawalpindi intercepted a suspected consignment from a private courier & cargo office located at Chaklala Scheme-III, Rawalpindi and recovered 1 Kg Heroin which was wrapped in 1 x Black Hood and 18 x used Gents Hoods. Shipper of the said consignment, namely Muhammad Ali Paracha resident of Rawalpindi was arrested on the spot.
ANF KP, on tip off, Police Station Regional Directorate in collaboration with 104 Wing KR FC (North) recovered 81.250 Kg Opium from trunk of vehicle near Bara Chowk Bara District Khyber. The above mentioned vehicle was signaled to stop by troops however the driver speed away. On being chased the driver escaped taking advantage of darkness, leaving the vehicle behind. The seized narcotics was being smuggled from Bara Khyber to Peshawar. In another operation, Police Station Peshawar in collaboration with FC (North) intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car and recovered 16.500 Kg Opium from a sack laying in the trunk of the seized vehicle. Two accused namely Aman Ullah and Kamran Khan residents of Lower Dir were arrested on the spot. In third operation, Police Station Peshawar in collaboration with FC (North) recovered 4.800 Kg Hashish from personal possession of arrested accused namely Taj Muhammad resident of District Khyber. In fourth operation, Police Station ANF Peshawar Shin Qamar Det recovered 8 Kg Hashish from personal possession of arrested accused namely Wajab Khan resident of Kohat. In fifth operation, Police Station Regional Directorate KP in collaboration with 104 Wing Khyber Rifles intercepted a Motor Bike and recovered 3.560 Kgs Opium & 20.420 Kgs Hashish. The rider managed to escape from place of occurrence. The seized narcotics was being smuggled from Bara Khyber to Peshawar. In sixth operation, Police Station Peshawar Torkham Det in collaboration with NLC at Torkham BT recovered 1.750 Kgs Heroin which was tactfully concealed in crate of apples. The recovered drug was being smuggled from Afghanistan to Pakistan. Accused Aziz Ullah resident of Afghanistan was arrested on the spot. In seventh operation, Police Station Peshawar in collaboration with FC (North) intercepted a motorcycle and recovered 12.950 Kgs Opium which was laying in Sack on seized motorcycle. Two accused namely Abdul Razak and Sana Ullah residents of District Khyber were arrested on the spot. In eighth operation, Police Station DI Khan intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car on Indus Highway, DI Khan and recovered 3.600 Kg Hashish which was tactfully concealed in the door of seized car. Accused namely Nihmat Ullah resident of Lakki Marwat was arrested on the spot.
ANF Punjab, the staff of Police Station Sialkot established naka near Daska – Pasrur Interchange, Daska-Pasrur road, Dehedo Wali, Sialkot and intercepted a Suzuki WagonR and recovered 1 Kg Opium & 2 Kg Hashish from secret cavity of the seized vehicle. Accused namely Gul Sher resident of Narowal was arrested on the spot. In another operation, Police Station Regional Directorate Lahore arrested an accused namely Tassawar Ijaz resident of Rawalpindi at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 9.040 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in his trolly bag. The accused was trying to smuggle drugs from Lahore to Melan (Italy) via Doha through Qatar Airways. In third operation, ANF Punjab intercepted a suspected consignment from a private Cargo Office located at Cargo Complex, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. The said consignment booked for UK. During checking of said consignment which was consisted of 6 x office Bags. Recovered 2.424 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in 1 x Office Bag. Parcel was booked by Muhammad Asim Ali resident of Sialkot for Mr Sheikh Ahmad resident of Birmingham. In fourth operation, the staff of Police Station Sialkot raided Shahabpura road near Sahib Marriage Hall Sialkot and arrested an accused namely Qaiser Nadeem resident of Sialkot alongwith Motorcycle and recovered 1.050 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. In fifth operation, the staff of Police Station Mianwali raided near Sargodha Mor near Shell Pump Mianwali intercepted a Motorcycle and recovered 9.500 Kg Hashish from personal possession of arrested accused namely Ikram Ullah resident of Mianwali.
ANF Sindh, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Sindh, conducted a raid near Total Petrol Pump, Opposite Al Asif Square Super Highway, Karachi and recovered 1.010 Kg Methamphetamine from arrested accused namely Muhammad Rafique resident of Qamber Shahdat Kot. In another operation, Police Station Regional Directorate Sindh conducted a raid at ANF examination area Badur Ud Din Yard PICT, Karachi and recovered 105.050 Kgs Opium kept in consignment of Rolling Mill Machine. The said consignment was booked by Exporter namely H.K International Lahore being sent to Canada. One person namely Shahid Muhammad Umar resident of Lahore was arrested.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
