The Pakistan Cricket Team has been permitted to come out of 14 days managed isolation in rooms of Christchurch and will resume paused cricket practices for the T20 series. The Cricket Team was initially told to pause activities because New Zealand health authorities announced that 10 players were tested positive for Coronavirus. Shahdab wrote in a tweet “After quarantine, we are now living our lives freely.” Azhar Ali thanked God for coming to a normal life. Pakistan head coach and former captain Misbah-ul-Haq issued the statement of Pakistan Cricket Board “Top expert players need a particular environment to prepare so that they can perform at the minimum expected levels every time they represent their countries.” Now that The Cricket Team would be enjoying the usual activities in New Zealand, is it completely ready for the upcoming series? In September, PCB announced a massive pay hike for Pakistan’s domestic cricketers ahead of the 2020-21 season, which began on September 30, the country’s cricket board announced a new pay structure which will see domestic players earning “more than seven per cent” of what they received in the 2019-20 season. PCB announced massive pay hike for Pakistan’s domestic cricketers ahead of the 2020-21 tournaments, this new pay structure indicates that the national players will be earning more than seven per cent of what they received in the 2019-20 season. A news reported that, “With each of the 10 A+ category players to receive PKR 150,000 as monthly retainer for 12 months and a match fee of PKR 40,000 for National T20 Cup and Pakistan Cup each, and PKR 60,000 for Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, players maintaining and displaying high levels of professionalism throughout the season will earn PKR 3.2million.” This highest paid amount to the domestic cricketers from the country’s board shows that there is potential and efficiency in the national cricketers that sometimes lack in deficiencies, may be, the reason could be “Unpaid Amount”.
