Professor Sheikh Muhammad Yusuf is the Living Legend and great man I have ever seen. He is the son of Sindh and the unique asset of the country. He has been contributing in the education all his life. His services have been recognized by the government of Pakistan who awarded him with the presidential award ‘Tamga Imiatz’. He is untiring and never retiring soul, as he has been serving as an educationist for more than 60 years in various educational institutions. Mr. Yusuf Sheikh got short service retirement from the army as a commissioned officer. He had also served as sub-editor daily dawn newspaper, worked dedicatedly as Principal Sindh madrassa tul-Islam school and college Karachi. He served cadet college Larkana for more than two decades as Principal. During his service, he invited then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto for the inauguration of cadet college Larkana which is located near Moan jo Daro. He has proved as a gem of the country, as Professor Sheikh Muhammad Yusuf has never retired from his sacred service in the field of education. Prof. Muhammad Yusuf Sheikh had served as General Staff Officer and Instructor at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul; Principal/Project Director Public School Sukkur; Principal/Project Director Public School Gadap Karachi; Principal/Project Director Sindh Madressatul Islam, Karachi; and Principal/PD Public School, Hyderabad. He authored and compiled many books during his patronage at cadet college Larkana which are available at the library of colleges. He believes that educational service is a sacred mission. He retired from cadet college Larkana but has never been retired from his sacred service to education. After Cadet College Larkana, he went to serve at Cadet College Gadap and public school Hyderabad with the same spirit. Presently he was serving as Principal\PD Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls, being the first institution of its kind in Pakistan, aimed at providing quality education to female cadets and empowering them to see that they have the ability to be a great generation. During his service as an educationist, he had been offered to serve as Federal Minister of science and technology. In addition he served as caretaker minister for federal and professional training with additional portfolios of the ministry of national health services, regulations and coordination and ministry of religious affairs and interfaith harmony during the interim government of the Caretaker Prime minister Justice Nasirul Mulk who was former chief justice of Pakistan. Prof. Yusuf Sheikh was now suffering from Covid-19 since 10 November. For the last many days, his health has deteriorated and was under the ventilator at PNS Shifa Hospital in Karachi. He has been the teacher of thousands of students whom he taught with devotion and sincerity. We as his well-wishers prayed for him to recover soon and defeat the Covid-19 as he has been defeating the ignorance with education for the last many decades. But, alas, the deadly disease has taken him from us. He has a tragic death due to pandemic covid-19. He is a  greater loss to the nation. May Allah rest him in heaven because he was a valuable asset to the nation.
