Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), a leading think tank of Pakistan, has announced dates of its flagship event of year. The 23rd edition of Sustainable Development Conference (SDC) will be held from 14-17 December 2020 in Islamabad.
The theme of this annual event of SDPI is: Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. The main objective of this forum is the exchange of views on issues related to sustainable development among researchers, academia, civil society, legislators, and policy makers. The conference will have various sessions ranging from economy to role of media and impacts of COVID-19 on different elements of society.
Keeping in view the current situation due to COVID-19 pandemic, some speakers will be able to attend in person taking care of the social distancing and other precautionary measures, while the rest will participate through a web-based platform meant for virtual conference. The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) has been organising a series of Sustainable Development Conferences (SDCs) since the inception of the Institute. The SDC is a flagship event of the Institute that not only provides a forum for SDPI’s own research but also invites other researchers, practitioners, policy makers and academia from the region to share their work and engage in a dialogue with fellow panellists and audience.
