Muzaffarabad,  (Parliament Times)  : President Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar hosted Dinner in Honor of Chairman Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust Ch Muhammad Akhter and Senior Hurriyat Leader Altaf Ahmed Bhat.

Talking to Altaf Ahmed Bhat and Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar on the occasion, Chaudhry Latif Akbar said that the Indian Army’s shelling and firing on unarmed and innocent Kashmiris in the ceasefire line especially in Neelum Valley, Haveli, Poonch Sector and Samahni inflicted irreparable loss of life and property to the civilians.

He added that this attack by India reveals its humiliating defeat and failure in occupied Kashmir. These sacrifices are the assets of the independence movement that will go on to lead to the destruction and defeat of India as well as the eternal freedom of the Kashmiris.

He said that we salute the Pakistani Army for its blunt response to Indian aggression, while also pay tribute to those who lost their precious lives due to Indian unprovoked shelling.

He thanked the Chairman Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust and the distinguished guests accompanying him who have come to serve the suffering humanity in this hour of need.

Talking on the occasion, Altaf Ahmed Bhat and Chairman Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar said that together with the Pakistani forces, the Kashmiri and Pakistani people will thwart any conspiracy of the enemy.

While Expressing deep concern over the ongoing Indian military siege in Occupied Kashmir, the worst human rights violations, all-black laws in force, internet blockade, ban on media and NGOs, they Called on the United Nations, international human rights organizations, OIC, European Union to play a practical role in lifting the Indian military blockade and sanctions.

The solution to the Kashmir issue lies only in the UN resolutions on which the Kashmiris on both sides agree and this will be the lasting and permanent solution to the issue.

Meanwhile, Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar further said that Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust would continue to take all possible steps for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the population affected by the Indian firing of the ceasefire line.

During their visit to Neelam Valley, Chairman J$KSM Altaf Ahmed Bhat and Chairman Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar said that Azad Kashmir, especially the civilian armed forces stationed on the ceasefire line, are unarmed soldiers of Pakistan who stand by the side of Pakistan Army.
The lives and financial sacrifices of the civilian population of the Ceasefire Line are in fact sacrifices for the defence of Pakistan that can never be forgotten.

According to the list of victims provided by the district administration under the recent Relief program of Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust 500 families in Athmaqam, Tehjiyan, Sharda, Nakro are provided with food rations. While handed over cheques amounting Rs 250,000 per family to 24 families, also Provided CGI sheets for the reconstruction of their houses and distributed CGI sheets and rations for 90 partially affected houses.

The victims have thanked all the guests and institutions who reached Neelum despite this difficult time and the extreme cold, rain and snow, and extended their fullest support and expressed solidarity and sympathy.
