RAWALKOT, (Parliament Times) : Former Minister for Information, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Abid Hussain Abid, has said that the upcoming elections would prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the PML-N government in Azad Kashmir and the PPP would return victorious in the elections owing to the mega projects it had initiated and completed during its last term in the government. Criticizing the incumbent government’s move of cancelling medical entrance test center in the Poonch district he said, “Medical entrance test in Poonch district has been conducted successfully for seven years and no one has ever raised any objection in this regard”. The move he said was tantamount to punish students hailing from far-flung areas of the mountainous district who he said were made to travel long distances to appear in the entrance exams at Muzaffarabad. “Amidst fast spreading coronavirus it has become a difficult task to travel under the given circumstances”, he said adding that the government must realize the difficulties of the students coming for the test after traveling from hilly and far flung areas.
Rather than aggravating their (Students) problems he said that it was the prime responsibility of the government to facilitate people who were already feeling overburdened due to growing inflation and poverty. Sardar Abid Hussain Abid said that the PPP government during its tenure took people-friendly steps in every sphere of life from education and development and made all possible efforts to provide facilities to the people.
