Gomal University observes October 27 as black day


Dera Ismail Khan: In a move to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir, Gomal University observed October 27 as black day to support the Kashmiris in their fight of self determination. Speakers hailed the resistance of Kashmiri people to illegal Indian occupation which continues after more than seven decades now. Dean Faculty of Arts Dr. Niamat Ullah Babar while addressing the participants in Main Campus said that people of Pakistan share spritual belonging to the Kashmiris and we can feel the struggle and miseries they go through. Chairman Department of Political Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Zubair said that India has converted Kashmir into the biggest human cage on earth and International Media and community should play their role to stop the genocide in Kashmir. People of Kashmir are going through much more severe situation for decades than the world is facing now due to corona, He was further noted saying.

Principal University Wensam College Dr. Shehla Sheikh while talking to the participants in Wensam College said that Pakistanis have stood beside the Kashmiris from day first and will always support their every effort of freedom. Dean Faculty of Law & Administrative studies Dr. Zahid Awan, Assistan Professor, Political Science Department Dr. Ismail Khan, Lecturer Saima Razzaq Khan and huge number of teachers and students were present in the ceremony. Girls presented different tablos on freedom songs in University Wensam College and Kashmir soladiarity walk was held at the end of the program in Main Campus of Gomal University.
