Lahore: President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi meets Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar at Governor House Lahore. The political, government and universities issues were discussed in detail. The Governor of Punjab briefed the President of Pakistan about the initiatives to start scholarships for students from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and ex FATA, transfer of universities to solar and also updated about other educational initiatives.
According to details, the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi arrived in Lahore on a two-day visit on Monday and was received warmly by the Governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar. President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and Gorvernor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar will also inaugurate Corona Heroes Wall to pay tribute to COVID?19 Heroes and Quran Garden inauguration will also be done at Governor House on 27th October 2020.
On the occasion of the meeting, the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi said that the development and stability of the country is the first priority of the government for which all the institutions are working together and the elements trying to destabilize Pakistan will not be allowed to fulfill their viscious aims. Peace is the ultimate solution to strengthen the country. The President said that despite all the challenges in the economic field, Pakistan is moving forward successfully and now international organizations are also acknowledging the economic development of Pakistan. The launch of scholarships for students from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA is a historic and commendable initiative.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the number of programs launched by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, including Ehsas Program for Public Development and Prosperity. He said that the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme was unprecedented in the past. The credit for saving Pakistan from economic bankruptcy also goes to the government of PTI.
The Governor Punjab said that Corona Heroes Wall and Quran Garden have been constructed to pay tribute to the devotees who performed well during COVID pandemic and such heroes will always be remembered in the history of Pakistan. He said there are still threats of corona today, so there is a need for the public to follow government SOPs to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
