Coronavirus claims 13 lives, infects 736 in one day


ISLAMABAD:   The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,715 on Friday, as Pakistan has reported thirteen deaths in the last 24 hours by the novel Coronavirus.
According to the statistics issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) the number of positive cases has surged to 326,216, as 736 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.
Till now 142,917 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 102,253 in Punjab, 38,886 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,767 in Balochistan, 18,578 in Islamabad, 4,127 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 3,688 in Azad Kashmir.
Furthermore 2,591 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,329 in Punjab, 1,267 in KP, 148 in Balochistan, 205 in Islamabad, 90 in GB and 85 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 4,204,320 coronavirus tests and 27,050 in the last 24 hours. 309,646 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 586 patients are in critical condition. There are now 9,855 active cases in the country.
