The 8th habit from effectiveness to greatness is an inspiring book by Stephen R. Covey. The book simply talks about two major elements, to find your voice and help others to discover their ones as well. When we are working on something, we often get failures and lose our courage to pursue our vision further. Voice is Covey’s code for “unique personal significance.” Those who inspire others to find their voices are leaders. “The 8th Habit is filled with timeless principles that will help both individuals and organizations in their pursuit of excellence. Stephen’s latest insights are challenging and compelling. The book is a call to action for twenty first century leaders.” “Leadership is communicating to people their worth and potentials so clearly that they come to see it in themselves.” Leaders are the motivators who encourage their employees to work a single mission in life. They teach their colleagues to learn from mistakes and step forwards a bright career. A leader can know and appreciate the value of people. They just don’t listen to their opinions, they seek them out. On the other hand, everybody has talents, but they lack opportunities to work on their qualities. Therefore a leader can take someone with the peaks of success. For finding your voice, everyone needs to follow four things, vision, discipline, passion and conscience. Because they are the sources that inspire a leader and employee to work for a single goal in life. Everyone in the world has purpose, they are not purposeless but due to some did misunderstanding, they fail to accomplish their missions of life. When someone does not have vision, they neglect the development of the mind’s capacity. As William Black said, “What is now proved was once only imagined.” Imagination is the only step which combines vision, discipline, passion to find your voice. Imagination clears the speed bumps to not stop you for the accomplishment of your destination. It represents desires, dreams, hopes, goals and plans. More importantly, discipline plays a critical role to bring the vision into reality and reality comes when vision joins the commitment. Discipline unites the people to work the goal of life.
