LAHORE: Treason case has been registered against former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif for delivering provocative speeches.
The treason case has been registered against Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders in police station Shahdara Lahore. The case was registered on the report of a citizen Badar.
According to text of the case former PM Nawaz Sharif through his speech incited the people and he corroborated Indian declare policy.
The other PML-N leaders including Maryam Nawaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khuram Dastgir, Ahsan Iqbal, Aftab, Pervez Rashid and others have also been named in the case. Khawaja Asif, Rana Sana Ullah, Amir Muqam, Zakia Shah, Talal Chaudhry and others have also been nominated in the treason case.
Case has been registered against Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders under sections 120 A and B, 121 A and B, 123 A and B and 124 A and B.
“Nawaz Sharif’s speech was aimed to indirectly benefit his friend Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” stated the FIR. It also alleged that the former prime minister’s speeches defamed Pakistan’s high courts and armed forces in front of the international community.
It was said in the context of FIR that Nawaz Sharif under a preconceived conspiracy delivered provocative speeches to malign the national institutions of the country while sitting in London. His speeches are designed to get declare Pakistan a rogue state.
