Lahore: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that the government, Pakistan army and all other national institutes were on the same page.
Governor Punjab said this while talking to Federal Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry who called on him here on Sunday.
During the meeting the duo discussed various national and political matters.Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the agenda of our government is development and prosperity of Pakistan but the political opponents want turmoil but Pakistan cannot afford political unrest amidst multiple challenges. The opposition must play its role to strengthen the parliament and democracy rather than resorting to protests.Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the opposition has been trying to destabilise the country but they will fail miserably. Prime Minister Imran Khan will complete his constitutional term.Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the opposition wants to halt the process of accountability but this is not going to happen. Transparent accountability without any discrimination is indispensable for the progress and development of Pakistan. Those who are criticising national institutes will not be forgiven by the public and 22 crore Pakistanis are proud of the Pakistan army who defend our borders and ensure our security. He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has fought the cause of Kashmiris in the United Nations and the world will have to resolve the Palestine and Kashmir dispute for international peace and security.Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the government has no danger from protests of the opposition. General elections will be held in 2023 and the opposition will fail once again. Our government is taking practical steps to uplift poor segments of the population.
