MIRPUR (AJK): (Parliament Times) President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Sardar Masood Khan appealed the international community to take the notice of economic genocide in Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir ( IIOJ&K).
He was addressing a reception hosted by Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmad Bhat in the federal capital on Friday, AJK President office told media Friday evening.
President Masood Khan vehemently urged the world community to take strict action against the Indian government for looting and plundering the natural resources of IIOJ&K following the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A. ” People of IIOJ&K are being deprived of their natural resources at gunpoint. More than nine lakh Indian occupational soldiers are committing war crimes in IIOJ&K and now the same military is backing the demographic change to convert Muslim majority state into minority with the political motives to crush the ongoing liberation movement in occupied territory”, President Khan added and saying world community ought to come forward with comprehensive plan to stop the rising human rights violations in IIOJ&K and across India where no Hindu Buddhist and other communities are being harassed except Muslims that shows the rising anti- Muslim sentiment in the Government of India and which is the worst kind of human rights violation.
President Khan paid glowing tributes to valiant Kashmiris matchless sacrifices for the noble cause and saying ” Kashmiris will be free and for this mission, we have to prepare ourselves as well.
Chairman JKSM Altaf Ahmad Bhat said that Jammu and Kashmir Bank (JKB) in IIOJ&K was the first casualty of post-August 5, 2019 scenario. Due Covid-19 financial institutions in the world are giving relief to traders and people but in IIOJ&K the only Kashmiris own bank is being used against them and particularly for those who got loan if not paying back then to mortgage their property which Bhat terms the worst example of economic genocide in IIOJ&K.
” After long discussions and meetings held in New Delhi, the prime minister of India Modi approved the plan to crush the Kashmiri people economically aimed to keep them away from the ongoing liberation struggle.
Bhat further added that India realized Kashmiris domestic economy is strong which plays a pivotal role in the ongoing freedom struggle and to crush it they snatched flag, language, statehood and natural resources from them which is the worst example of economic exploitation on the planet.
Bhat hailed the role of NPC in the ongoing liberation movement urged the newly elected body to keep continue the legacy of Kashmir cause promotion through pens and cameras.
President NPC Shakeel Anjum appreciated the role of JKSM Chairman Altaf Ahmad Bhat for the well being of journalist community during the hard days of Covid-19.
