MIRPUR (AJK): (Parliament Times) Rector NUML University Muhammad Jaffer Tuesday called on Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan in his office in the State’s metropolis on Tuesday and discussed the matters regarding promotion and uplift of quality higher education in the State.
The Rector of NUML University announced on this occasion to establish to two campuses of the NUML one each in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur districts of AJK.
AJK Prime Minister lauded the decision of launching two campuses of NUML University in AJK. He said the AJK Govt. had already taken due steps for dispensation of quality higher education in the State harmonious to the need of the latest era.
Farooq Haider underlined that literacy rate in AJK state was higher than that of all provinces of of the country.
The AJK PM asserted that implementation of National Testing Service (NTS) by his government for teacher’s recruitment for the State-run schools, not only boosted the education system in AJK but also opened new vistas of jobs to the educated youth to serve in the state education department to supplement government efforts to improve the education system in the state.
Raja Farooq Haider expressed the hope that the establishment of two campuses of NUML in AJK would help in to improve the delivery of quality higher education in the state.
