Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Member National Assembly and Federal Parliamentary Secretary Makhdoom Zain Hussain Qureshi paid a two-day visit to Muzaffarabad under the auspices of Youth Parliament of Pakistan. A delegation of Youth Parliament of Pakistan also accompanied him during the visit. President Ubaid Qureshi hosted the visit and carried out other administrative matters. During the visit of Makhdoom Zain Hussain Qureshi, the President and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir met with various political and social – political personalities and youth delegations. On arrival at Muzaffarabad, the people received a warm welcome at Barakot.
The visit not only strengthened unity and solidarity efforts but also sent a very positive message to the oppressed Kashmiris on the other side of the Line of Control that the Pakistani government and people stand by the Kashmiris. Makhdoom Zain Hussain Qureshi said that since a few Eid-ul-Adha, members of the federal government and members of the opposition have visited Muzaffarabad at different times. On the occasion of Exploitation Day, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan sent a clear message to the international community from the base camp of Tehreek-e-Azadi Muzaffarabad that we stand with the Kashmiri people. By doing so, he has given the message that any political party in Pakistan, whether in opposition or in government, is united in supporting the Kashmiris. Despite India’s worst atrocities and aggression, Kashmiris will continue their struggle and the time is not far when the sun of independence will rise in occupied Kashmir.
From the independence of Pakistan to the independence of Kashmir, the journey of the Pakistani people with the Kashmiris will continue. The federal government has always prioritized the struggle for Kashmiris over political affiliation.
The purpose of the visit to Muzaffarabad was simply to send a message of devotion, respect and love from the base camp of Tehreek-e-Azadi to the elders, youth, women and children who fought against India in Kashmir, the land of Kashmiri martyrs and made unprecedented sacrifices. Let them be assured that the 22 crore people of Pakistan are united with the Kashmiris and they are ready to make any sacrifice to make the Kashmiris’ independence movement a success. Paying homage to the courageous struggle of the people of Occupied Kashmir, Zain Qureshi said that the history of Kashmir was full of sacrifices. The people of Occupied Kashmir have been waging a historic struggle for the last seventy years, especially in recent years in general, for which we pay tribute to them and express our full solidarity with them. By following the path chosen by the people of Occupied Kashmir for independence, they will soon succeed, God willing, and the people of Pakistan will be their handmaidens in this struggle.
Addressing the reception, Makhdoom Zain Qureshi said: “Indian-occupied Kashmir has been under curfew for a year now. The deployment of army is Modi’s special agenda. To create distance between races. Indian soldiers are targeting the Kashmiri educated generation, detaining them, torturing them mentally and physically and then martyring them. A few months ago, 13 youths were martyred by Indian forces during a fake search operation. The soldiers brutally killed the young man by passing a jeep over him. A child killed his grandfather in front of a child. Isn’t such a painful example found in any corner of the world today? The life of a Kashmiri is as important as that of a black citizen, the international community should focus on giving Kashmiris the right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.
During his visit to Muzaffarabad, Makhdoom Zain Qureshi met a delegation of youth affiliated to the Youth Parliament and political parties and said:
Political and social leaders of Occupied Kashmir have been detained by Indian occupying forces since the August 5 incident. There is no country in the world in the 21st century where human rights are not guaranteed. The Modi government is taking contrived steps to divert the attention of the international community from occupied Kashmir. The youth of Azad Kashmir should participate more and more in the independence movement of Kashmir. Kashmiri members of the Youth Parliament are positively representing Pakistan at the international level. Unfortunately, the youth of Occupied Kashmir are not given the opportunities that are their basic right. Modi’s policy for Kashmiri youth is very worrying that on the one hand, the Indian occupying forces are martyring the young Kashmiri generation on a daily basis, depriving them of education, internet and global interaction, on the other hand, the Indian government since August. Allowed extremists to replace Kashmiris. The aim is to overcome the struggle for independence, which is a clear indication that Modi has no “Kashmiri” formula for the future. Young people around the world have been active in every movement. We must play our part and speak up for the rights of the Kashmiri people in the world. Indian after August
