Neelum Valley: People of Jammu and Kashmir marked Indian Independence day as Black day throughout the State.
A massive protest procession followed by a rally was staged near Line fo Control Neelum Valley in front of Indian military posts under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir here on Saturday.
People were chanting Anti-India and pro-freedom slogans holding black flags, banners and placards.
According to press release issued by Pasban-e-Hurriyat, protest processions were held statewide against Indian aggression in Occupied territory.
People laced black ribbons and chanted “Go India Go Back, Indian Usurpers Leave Jammu Kashmir, We will fight till Kashmir freedom” slogans.
The rally was lead by Vice Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Usman Ali Hashim, Malik Sharafat Ali, Syed Badshah including many other political and religious figures.
Many students’ organisations and youth representatives were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, people said that India has suppressed the voice of innocent people in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
They reiterated that India has no right to celebrate freedom when she usurped the freedom of Kashmiri people.
“People of Jammu and Kashmir are resisting for freedom against 0.9 million Indian Occupational forces for the last 73 years” speakers maintained.
The struggle of Kashmiri people is just for their right to self-determination which is legitimate according to UN resolutions.
They added that the basic rights of Kashmiri people are violated by Indian armed forces at every nook and corner of occupied Valley.
They appealed United Nations to implement its resolutions on Kashmir besides taking stern notice on human rights violations by Indian armed forces in IOK.
