President Arif Alvi unfurled the flag at the main Independence Day ceremony


ISLAMABAD:   Independence Day celebrations were held at the Presidency in Islamabad. President Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi unfurled the flag at the main Independence Day celebrations.

Addressing the function, President Arif Alvi that Pakistan had given a message of peace in response to India’s aggression and Pakistan would continue to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris.

CPEC will usher in a new era of development and prosperity in the region, Pakistan’s effort to tackle Corona has been recognized internationally.

Arif Alvi said that Pakistan had
Sacrificed thousands of lives in the war against terrorism. The Kashmir issue needs to be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions. The discussion on the Kashmir issue in the Security Council was historic.

It was a great achievement on the foreign front of Pakistan. The launch of the new Pakistani map is a big task; August 5 was celebrated as Kashmir Exploitation Day.

He further said that despite Corona, stabilization of the economy is a great victory, we can get the leadership of the Muslim Ummah by improving the economy, the current account deficit has come down from Rs 20 billion to Rs 3 billion, taxes and revenues have increased significantly, we Builds relationships with poor people under the Ehsas program, nations emerge from poverty due to health and education.

Earlier, a siren was sounded at the beginning of the Independence Day celebrations in the Presidency.

President Arif Alvi waved the green crescent flag. Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Information Minister Shibli Faraz and other federal ministers and special assistants also attended the function.
