Nation celebrates Pakistan’s 73rd Independence Day today

ISLAMABAD,LAHORE,KARACHI:    Pakistan’s 73rd Independence Day will be celebrated on Jumma-tul-Mubarak August 14 with traditional excitement and national spirit’
Events will be held in connection with the celebration of independence in smaller and bigger cities of the country .
31 guns salute will be presented in the Federal Capital Islamabad and 21 guns salute in the Provincial Capital Lahore. The day will start by reciting Quran in the mosques for the martyrs of independence movement, whereas special prayers will be offered for the security of the country and nation. and for the soldiers of Pak Army deployed at the border to safeguard the country.
The prestigious event of changing guards will be held at Mazar-e-Quaid and Allama Iqbal Tomb, National Flag will be waved on government, private buildings, houses and solidarity will be expressed with the Kashmiri Muslims of Occupied Kashmir.
Whereas the markets and streets will be decorated with colorful buntings, in the night buildings will be decorated with colorful lights and events of flag hoisting will be held.

On the occasion of Independence Day there will be public holiday and due to reduction of corona virus nationwide, extreme excitement is found among the kids, men and women in connection with the celebration of Independence Day.
The streets, neighbourhoods and markets of all the cities are decorated with colorful buntings. The sale of National Flag, buntings, badges etc in all the cities are at its peak, whereas strict safety measures have been taken by the police.
Nishan e Pakistan will be awarded to the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani on independence day. Awards , will also be conferred on those who rendered meritorious services in diverse sectors and military .
Special prayers will be offered for the safety and betterment of the country in the gatherings of the Jumma prayer. Special prayers will also be offered for the freedom of Kashmir. Documentaries on creation of Pakistan will be aired on government television channels. Independence day will be vehemently celebrated and events will be held in embassies and high commissions of Pakistan in different countries. All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other political parties in occupied Kashmir have announced to celebrate independence day as thanksgiving day on 14 August whereas tomorrow, independence day of India will be celebrated as black day on 15 August. Foolproof arrangements have been done to deal with any unpleasant incident of terrorism.
The heads of the security agencies have issued orders to take special security measures on the directives of federal Ministry of Interior. The security has been on put on high alert on the entry and exit routes of major cities and checking procedure has been made more strict. Foolproof arrangements will be done on the locations of events of independence day.
