ZHOB: Additional Deputy Commissioner Syed Salah-ud-Din Agha
has said that a greener environment is vital for a healthy nation. The
trees not only enhance natural beauty but also provide a clean
environment to the people. Active participation of Tiger Force
volunteers in the tree plantation campaign is appreciable.
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Prime Minister's tree
planting campaign at Balochistan Residential College (BRC) here.

Mandokhail, social activists Sheikh Ashraf Mandokhail, Sajid Imran
Bangash, forest official Muhammad Ayoub, Abdullah Kakar, Abdul
Noor Mardanzai, Qudoos Niazi, Syed Shah Khwasti, college staff,
journalists Faiz Muhammad Sherani and Zafran Khan were also
present on the occasion. ADC and others inaugurated the campaign
by planting saplings on the college premises.
“Tree plantation plays an important role for reducing environmental
pollution”, adding the country is facing the climate change challenge.
To cope with the situation, immediate steps are needed to provide a
healthy environment. ADC and other officials said.
District Forest Officer Ashraf Ali on the occasion said that 13,000
saplings would be planted during the ongoing monsoon campaign.
He said the tree plantation campaign is aimed at creating awareness
among the people about the environmental and economic benefits of
trees and motivate them for planting maximum trees. DPO said.
It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the
largest tree plantation drive in the country's history with the aim of
planting 3 and half million saplings across the country.
