RAWALPINDI: (Parliament Times) The Livestock Department Rawalpindi Division has set up 36 places for sale of sacrificial animals and cattle markets in the entire division, and checkposts and medical camps at eight inter-provincial entrances points for the purpose of corona prevention SOPs, inspection of cattle health and spraying of anti-ticks chemical on cattle.
This was stated by Director Livestock Rawalpindi Division Dr
Syed Nadeem Badar in a departmental briefing. He said that facilities for
pregnancy test and treatment of cattle would also be available at the places of
sale of sacrificial animals and cattle markets. Dr Syed Nadeem Badar said
that veterinary doctors and staff have been posted at check posts who will
perform their duties in shifts.
The Director Livestock Rawalpindi Division said that there
are a total of eight inter-provincial entrances in Rawalpindi Division where
check posts have been set up out of which four posts are in Attock, three in
Rawalpindi and one in Jhelum. He said that 36 points for sale of
sacrificial animals would be allotted in the division out of which 10 are in
Rawalpindi, nine each in Jhelum and Attock, and eight in Chakwal.
