Bagh: (Parliament Times) Minister for Information, Raja Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas has said that the right to self-determination is a fundamental right of Kashmiris, which was guaranteed to them by no less an authority than the United Nations.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday the Information Minister said that Kashmiris have sacrificed three generations to achieve freedom from India’s illegal and forcible occupation. Terming India as a usurper he said that it was high time that the world should discharge its moral and legal responsibilities regarding the settlement of the lingering dispute in line with the universally accepted principle of right to self-determination, which he said was a cardinal principle in modern international law.
He also paid homage to the Hurriyat leaders for their commitment towards the collective cause. He said it was the responsibility of every Kashmiri to expose war crimes being committed by the Indian Army in Occupied Kashmir as well as on the Line of Control.
