Mirpur (AJK):Atleast 04 persons including two women were grievously injured as a result of unprovoked Indian firing from across the LOC in Khuiratta sector in Kotli district of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday, authorities said.
Commissioner Mirpur Division, Chaudhary Muhammad Raqeeb told this Correspondent here Sunday night that India violated the ceasefire resorting to unprovoked firing on two separate civilian populous areas including Chattri Nikka and Janjoot Bahadar areas in Khuiratta sector in Kotli district of Mirpur Division On Sunday.
The Indian firing left four local residents injured, who were identified as Shabnam (30), w/o Zaheer Mughal, Adeeba (10), d/o Zaheer Mughal, Pervaiz (33), s/o Muhammaddin Malik and Adil Mughal (21), who sustained serious leg injuries in the Indian firing on Janjoot Bahadar village along this side of the LOC.
The seriously injured minor Adeeba Bibi has been shifted to DHQ Hospital, Kotli, where her condition is stated to be critical, the Div Commissioner said quoting official reports reaching from the firing hit forward areas.
