RAWALPINDI: City police have taken action against 1664 beggars in the month of June and cases have been filed in police stations against 34 beggars.
According to media reports the special anti-beggar squad set up by the City traffic police Rawalpindi had taken action in the month of June against 1664 professional beggars and handed them over to police.
Cases has been registered against 34 beggars and action will be taken against them according to law.
Incharge Anti Beggar Squad Adeel Abbasi has said that arrests of beggars will continue till the begging menace is eliminated .
