ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has been acquitted in Parayan Ghayab rental power case.
The judge of Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad Muhammad Bashir has announced reserve judgment.
Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has been acquitted in Parayan Ghayab rental power case by the accountability court Islamabad.
In Parayan Ghayab reference, 8 accused are nominated including Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. Other accused including former minister of finance Shaukat Tareen, Ismail Qureshi, Shahid Rafi, Tahir Basharat Cheema, Saleem Arif, Chaudhry Abdul Qadeer, and Iqbal Ali Shah have also been acquitted.
Parayan Ghayab reference was filed by NAB Rawalpindi in 2014. The rental power plant of 192 mega watts was installed in Parayan Ghayaz area of Multan. Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was accused of corruption and misuse of power as a minister of water and power. Last week he was also acquitted in sahowal reference.
NAB has announced to challenge the decision in Supreme Court.
