Kabul: (Raja Furqan Ahmed) The Afghan Air force has killed at least 25 Taliban militants during the airstrike in Dawlatabad district of Balkh province. According to the details, the Afghan Air Force targeted the militants who had gathered in one of the local villages late on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, reports also suggest that the airstrike also killed at least four civilians including a woman and a child. However, the Afghan military and local government rejected that the airstrike killed civilians, emphasizing that only militants were killed in the airstrike. The Taliban group has yet not commented regarding the airstrike so far.
Previously, Afghan forces suffer heavy casualties in Taliban attack in Badghis province. The Taliban militants attacked the security posts of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in Bala Murghab district late on Tuesday night. The sources further added that 10 security personnel including 7 soldiers of the Afghan Special Forces and 3 policemen lost their lives and 5 wounded in the attack.
