Pasban-e-Hurriyat demands release of Kashmiri prisoners in Covid pandemic

Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali has said that World conscience should play their role for liberty of Kashmiri prisoners in Indian Jails.

In a statement issued here on other day, he said that continuing killings of Youth besides pitiful condition of imprisoned people is an open challenge to human rights organisations’ role.

Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat said that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory but India has occupied it for the last 72 years and do not obey UN for the implementation of its resolutions.

He said that Indian armed forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) is engaged on target killings of youngsters which is a deliberate attempt of Kashmiri genocide.

Uzair maintained that 8 young people have been killed by occupational forces in Shopian and Panipur recently.

“Indian armed forces usurped the basic rights but United Nations, security council and other human rights organisations are silent spectators on it” he added.

Terming the Indian atrocities in IOK as henious war crimes, Ghazali reiterated that draconian laws in IOK in addition of existence of almost 1 million armed forces in civilian population are clear question marks on Indian so called democracy.

He stated that Kashmiri Hurriyat Leadership including Syed Ali Gillani, Muhammad Yaseen Malik, Ayyaz Akbar, Saif ullah, Dr. Qasim Faktu, Musarrat alam Bhatt, Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, Asia Andrabi, Fehmida Sufi, Muhammad Ahsan Aunto, Sarjan Barkati, Naheeda Nasreen and many others are under house arrest are in notorious Indian jails.

He appealed to international human rights organisations to release Kashmiri prisoners during this Pandemic as most of the prisoners are suffering imprisonments who resist for freedom.

Ghazali demanded UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir. He added that it is inevitable to implement UN resolutions for permanent peace in the region.
