“Silah e fun” scheme for welfare of artists introduced



Rawalpindi:  (Parliament Times)    The Punjab government has introduced “Silah e fun”Scheme for the welfare of artists, which aims to enhance the artistic talent of the artists by ensuring maximum encouragement to them. Secretary Information and Culture Punjab Raja Jahangir Anwar disclosed this while talking on the occasion of visiting Al-Hamra Young Artist Exhibition.

The Secretary Information and Culture Punjab said that the required funds have been allocated in the budget of the new financial year for the implementation of “Silah e fun” Scheme and this initiative of the Punjab government is recognition of the talent of the artists. Director Saman Rai showed him the works of art on display which Raja Jahangir Anwar termed as a masterpiece of professional artistic talent of the artists and said that Pakistani young artists possessed an immense talent in recognition of which the Punjab government has taken care of the welfare of artists. The provincial Secretary Information and Culture added that the government was committed to well being of artists community. He lauded the efforts of Executive Director Al-Hamra Saman Rai and other management in organizing a successful online exhibition in the current era. Director Arts and Culture Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi, Assistant Director Admin Khurram, Assistant Director Fine Arts Minaa Haroon and other officers were also present on the occasion.
