Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Former President and Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaquob Khan has urged the world community to move beyond rhetoric and play its much needed role to settle Kashmir dispute in line with the UN established principle of right to self-determination.
“Now is the time for the international community to go beyond rhetoric and raise its voice for the right of Kashmiris to self-determination”, the former premier said in a statement issued here on Sunday. India he said was taking undue advantage of the COVID situation to kill Kashmiris in fake encounters. “It is the responsibility of the world to stop India from committing genocide of Kashmiris under the guise of Corona Pandemic”, he said adding that Kashmiris have never accepted India’s illegal and forcible control over the territory. He said that Kashmiri nation was indebted to the martyrs who always offered their fresh blood to keep the torch of freedom burning.
Referring India’s belligerence and hostility against Pakistan he said, “India is setting up an airport in the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir with a view to launch air attacks on Pakistan”. Kashmiris he said would fight shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan Army in case India resorted to any misadventure in the region.
