Rawalpindi: Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has started again preparation for launching “Double Decker Bus” service with ease in lock down for sightseeing of the landscapes of the twin cities.
According to media reports, this bus will be started from 14th August Independence Day celebration while land has been allocated to tourism Development Corporation with Allama Iqbal Park for construction of double decker bus central terminal. Direction has been given to complete all the preparation for Double Decker bus within two months.
Advertisement will be made with drummers in the streets in August for inauguration of this bus . This service remained operational till 1975 in Rawalpindi while by that time it was a passenger bus now it will be only fun bus.
Central station of this bus will be in Allama Iqbal Park Shams Abad while from here it will run via Faiz Abad, Shakar Parian, Lok Virsa, Tara, Jasmine Garden, Secretariat and Faisal Masjid to Allama Iqbal Park.
Special discount tickets will be available on first day of the bus while tickets can be booked through phone and online.
