ISLAMABAD: Mangla bridge reopened for tourists Friday after three months of closure in the aftermath of corona virus epidemic outbreak.
According to media reports the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has issued notification in this regard.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had urged the reopening of the tourism industry across the country.
A notification was issued after which private and public vehicles are allowed to pass through the bridge amid SOPs. Travelers will have to provide their details at entry and exit points.
Tourists arriving in Kashmir will have to get themselves screened at the bridge and must wear masks. For private cars, no more than three people will be allowed to travel at a time.
The rules of social distancing are also to be strictly implemented. People failing to comply with the SOPs will punished.
