ISLAMABAD: Police employees from Islamabad have been prohibited from seeking lift from owners of private vehicles and motorcyclists.
Inspector General Police Islamabad has directed that no police personal in uniform will seek lift from owner of private vehicle or motorcycle in the prevailing security situation. All policed officers and subordinate police men should stay at their places of duty. In the case of any overnight stay outside the duty place they will be required to seek permission from the respective supervisory officer in writing.
He directed these orders should consistently be conveyed to police personnel for three days besides ensuring their implementation in letter and spirit. Those found involved in violating these orders will be proceeded against under disciplinary rules.
