Attock police arrest 12 Gamblers

ATTOCK: As many as 12 gamblers were booked besides recovering bet money amounting Rs 1,07170,six cell phones, 02 motorcycle from their possession and arrested during raids at their gambling dens in various parts of attock on Thursday.
Spokesman of police informed that in a crackdown against the anti social elements Attock Saddar police got information that some people were busy in playing gambling in the area during course of action police arrested the six gamblers identified as Muhammad Faiaz, Muhammad Faraz, Abaid Khan, Muhammad Zulfiqar, Jameel Ahmad and Noman Ali besides recovering Rs 12700 and mobile phones from their custody.
Jand Police raided at a gambling den and arrested six persons while gambling identified as Rafaqat Khan, Muhammad Ijaz, Fayaz Khan, Shahid Hussain, Ghulam Rasool and Hamza Khan besides recovering Rs 94470 and 06 mobile phones and 02 motorcycle from their possession.
During crackdown, the police seized bet money worth thousands of rupees, motorcycles, cell phones and gambling tools.
Police have registered separate cases against all of them under gambling act.
District Police Officer (DPO) Khalid Hamdani appreciated the performance of attock police team. He said that strict action must be taken against Anti social elements. Adding that no one would be allowed to carry illegal activity.
