Special arrangements would be made for the last ten days of Ramazan & Eid ul Fittar to efficiently deal with COVID-19 affectees, says AJK CS


MUZAFFARABAD :  (Parliament Times)     Chief Secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Mathar Niaz Rana has said that special arrangements would be made for the last ten days of Ramazan and Eid ul Fittar to efficiently deal with the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Addressing a consultative meeting of the representatives of traders’ associations, journalists and lawyers here on Saturday, he said threat of coronavirus spread still exists, which needs to be curtailed effectively.

The Chief Secretary suggested the traders to constitute a separate committee for each market to ensure hundreds percent implementation on the SOPs.

Appreciating the business community and civil society for their cooperation with the government, he said due to their invaluable support, the spread of COVID-19 is controlled enough in the state. “All segments of the society had played their positive role to save the state from this deadly virus, which is indeed appreciable and I expressed my profound gratitude to them”, the Chief Secretary added.

Mathar Niaz Rana told that different sections of the society affected by the lockdown would also be included in Ehsas Program.

On this occasion, participants of the meeting particularly representatives of business community shared their different suggestions to effectively deal with the situation.

The Chief Secretary assured them to review their proposals and would take the decision considering the present situation.
