    LCCI welcomes cut in POL prices, demands opening of businesses

    Lahore:    The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Friday welcomed cut in petroleum products prices.
    In a statement, the LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar and Vice President Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmad said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry was calling since long for cut in petroleum products prices and markup. They said that government has taken a good decision that would give a bigger relief to the industrialists, traders and masses.
    The LCCI office-bearers said that coronavirus has halted the economic activities across the country. They said that business community and government need cooperation of each other at this critical time of the history to cope the severe challenges.
    They said that business community is in a deep trouble. Besides cancellation of exports orders, provision of employment is one of the top priorities of the business community. Cut in POL prices would be definitely a big support to the business doing people.
    Meanwhile, the LCCI office-bearers urged the government to allow traders to do business as they are on the verge of collapse.
