Azhar Azad Mughal;
Each passing day brings a bad news to us in today’s worst crisis of covid-19 pandemic, which has hitherto resulted in the loss of more than 2 lac lives and made nearly 3 million people it’s victim the world over. The people are living miserable lives and fighting the war of their survival amid sobs, cries and tears. They had never thought of undergoing trials and tribulations in such horrible way.Life is dear to every one of us for which every attempt is made to ensure it.
Those unfortunate ones whose lives are in great danger and at stake due to onslaught of deadly coronavirus are looking for true saviours and miracles to take place for their well-being. The infected cases of covid-19 have been accommodated in different isolation wards set up for this specific purpose in various parts of the country but the patients have been complaining against the arrangements regarding provision of quality food, cleanliness, hygiene, proper look after and care since they were admitted. On one hand they are far from their loved ones at the mercy of district administrations and on the other hand, they are not taken care of and looked after properly. It is state’s responsibility to provide its citizenry with basic healthcare system in the lines with the modern technology. We, equal citizens of this beloved country, want equal treatment at the hands of our rulers who invariably show us green gardens, make pledge time and again to bring real change in the lives of the people but do nothing except hoodwinking the masses by raising hollow slogans of reformation and revolution. It is the attitude that is counted and matters the most in extraordinary situations.The infected patients are in dire need of kindness and compassion, solace and courage that can make them strong enough to combat the covid-19 epidemic with steadfastness, indomitable will and intrepidity. It is requested to the concerned quarters to address the genuine grievances of the infected population of covid-19 pandemic spending in isolation wards.
