Spaces for protest were rapidly constrained and made inaccessible. People were declared seditious, incarcerated, jailed and persecuted. Activists were targeted. Universities and places of learning were being controlled, and dissent and differences were being labelled as anti-national. Killing, lynching, assassinations have become methods of intimidating people.Goverment had exepected masive mass protestes but it was blessing in disguise, as the fear of prison turned people into still and quiescent society which destroyed then the very basic texture of society in every-sphere of life.
