    Lone Umar;

    All within the state, none outside the state, none against the state"-Benito Mussolini While the whole world is toiling to surmout the Coronovirus outbreak and the nation is in dire straits and waits anxiously for scientific breakthrough in vaccine to fight the novel covid19.Woefully, amid lockdown BJP goverment stabed people back with new rules of domocile for jummu and Kashmir and added salt to the injury.As people of kashmir have already went through cataclysm from last year due to the abrogation of article 370 and 35A.The article 370 which bestowed the special status to the people of jammu and Kashmir revoked by BJP goverment on 05 August 2019 led mass hysteria in the valley and was itself the violation of the spirit of the Constitution and federalism.People were reeled back after hearing the bifurcation of jammu and Kashmir into two union territories.Thousands of security personnel were already sent in and the Valley was clamped down with severe and all-encompassing communications blackout. People were barred from receiving information and were barred from accessing justice.the media controlled, free speech attacked, cultural-political expression and critiques of governance stifled. Spaces for protest were rapidly constrained and made inaccessible. People were declared seditious, incarcerated, jailed and persecuted. Activists were targeted. Universities and places of learning were being controlled, and dissent and differences were being labelled as anti-national. Killing, lynching, assassinations have become methods of intimidating people.Goverment had exepected masive mass protestes but it was blessing in disguise, as the fear of prison turned people into still and quiescent society which destroyed then the very basic texture of society in every-sphere of life. After changing the countours of conflict over kashmir and regions political geography. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a massive outreach to youth, women, government employees and other people in the new Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, seeking to drive home the message that the abrogation of Article 370 will bring them great opportunities in terms of employment, investment and infrastructure development.Ensure people that their local and land rights will not be usurped.Sadly,It could not come out the mindset that "he who rides a tiger is afraid to dismount".Government reneged on all its promises and it was a bolt from the blue for the youth in these hard times by introducing new domocile laws.It is a political and pyschlogyical castastrope. It means not only a loss of land-protection,job opportunities other special rights, but also a loss of identity and trust, a loss of voice and a loss of any hope and looks like a final perfidy in the cage of democracy.It is one of the very disturbing things about BJP ruling party that they are misusing the power of democracy.Democracy doesn't give power to the handful of people to rule over.The democracy means the freedom of the people in a nation to choose. The people have the power over the entire nation. It is upto the majority what the fate of the country or state will be.The important thing is that the citizens of India should understand this. Because, there is a shift towards facism in political discourse. All these together give rise to the regime of totalitarianism. Totalitarianism, a form of government that theoretically permits no individual freedom and that seeks to subordinate all aspects of individual life to the authority of the state.In the broadest sense, totalitarianism is characterized by strong central rule that attempts to control and direct all aspects of individual life through coercion and repression. BJP goverment is inching the country towards totalitarian regime.people can rightly surmise that as these signs of prevailing authoritarainism or even totalitarianism.India would not be counted as largestDemocratic country in coming times and will have grave repercussions.
