Minhas concerned over HR violations in IoK
Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Expressing his serious concern over the fast deteriorating political and human rights situation in the Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Minister for Information, Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs Raja Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas has said that despite the outbreak of coronavirus epidemic there was no letup in the Indian atrocities in the occupied valley.
In a statement issued here on Sunday Minhas said, “Since August 5 2019 the valley has been under crippling military siege where a population of over 7 million people have been cut off from the world due to the closure of communication links, including the Internet.
He regrettably noted that people in the occupied territory have been subjected to brute force, torture and thousands of children have been arrested in addition to the political leadership.
He said that Indian occupying forces were targeting and killing Kashmiri youth during so-called search and siege operations. He said that medical facilities were not being provided to Corona patients in Occupied Kashmir and they were deprived of all basic facilities. He demanded that the international community should take notice of the Indian aggression on the LoC. “If Modi’s war frenzy is not stopped, peace in South Asia would remain in jeopardy”, he warned.
