Minister seeks ulema cooperation to contain COVID-19.

ATTOCK:    Minister Revenue Punjab Col (R) Malik Muhammad Anwar Khan said the purpose of government’s efforts was to save the people from the pandemic, which had engulfed the entire world. The Ulema should promote culture of harmony, tolerance and brotherhood as well as create awareness Coronavirus pandemic in society during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Minister said Ulema from all schools of thought should act on the directions of Federal and Punjab government regarding prayers.
A delegation of District Peace Committee Ulema called on Minister Punjab here in Deputy Commissioner Office on Wednesday.
He assured their full cooperation on the matters relating to congregation prayers at mosques during lockdown in the month of Ramadan.
The meeting was presided over by Minister Revenue Punjab Col (R) Malik Muhammad Anwar Khan and attended among others by Chairman Public Accounts Committee Punjab Syed Yawer Abbas Bokhari, MPA Malik Jamshed Altaf, Deputy Commissioner Ali Anan Qamer and other were present.
The Minister said the government in consultation with an Ulema-e-Kiram would formulate guidelines for the month of Ramadan. He said the religious Ulema had always guided the government in every difficult time. Members of district peace Committee assures Minister of cooperation during lockdown in month of Ramadan.
At the end, collective dua was offered for elimination of Coronavirus and development and prosperity of the Country.
