QUETTA,(Parliament Times): In a bid to expand coronavirus testing the government of Baluchistan has decided to conduct tests of 5000 people on daily basis.
The decision to this effect was taken during an extraordinary meeting held under the chairmanship of Baluchistan Chief Minister Mr. Jamal Kamal Khan here on Thursday. While reviewing the progress on government’s efforts to increase Coronavirus testing services across the province it has been decided that 5000 people will be tested from different areas of the city.
It was also decided that test sampling will also be done in Jaffarabad district where two more PCR machines will be added to increase the number of tests on a daily basis. According to details the authorities would formally contact NDMA for the acquisition of the PCR machines besides obtaining additional test kits.
The meeting also reviewed the situation of Coronavirus and measures being taken to prevent the spread of virus.
Meanwhile, the officials of Health department on the occasion briefed the meeting about the prevailing situation in the region. The Chief Minister also directed the Chief Secretary Balochistan Fazil Asghar to contact the Chairman NDMA for the acquisition of PCR machines.
