Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times): Protest procession followed by rally was held under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against the new law of Indian government for issuing domiciles to Indian citizens. A large number of people in Manik Piyan Refugees camp Muzaffarabad gathered here on Wednesday when they came to know about Indian government notification.
People were chanting slogans against Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) besides condemnation of illegal acts to change the demography of IOK. Protestors were holding banners and placards stated Anti-India and pro freedom slogans. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali has said that India’s continuous aggression and illegal activities are still continue in IOK even the worst time of COVID19.
He reiterated that Modi virus is more lethal than Corona for the people of IOK. Uzair stated that the people in IOK are under lock down for the last 242 days, “still many youngsters including political leaders are suffering imprisonments in notorious Indian jails” he said. He maintained that the IOK has become the world’s largest military jail where all religious, political and social rights have been usurped by force. Ghazali said that Indian government is endeavoring to change the Muslim majority in IOK to minority. “The silence of International organizations on such deteriorating situation is similar to state tyranny” he added. Speakers on the occasion said that the new law of Indian government to issue Kashmiri domiciles is another attack on their identity. They rejected the Indian new law by saying that no Indian can become Kashmiri as it is also against UN resolutions on Kashmir and the issue of Kashmir is yet to be decided.
They urge that they will continue to resist against Indian Occupation in Kashmir. President Human Rights Movement Bilal Ahmed Farooqui, Sardar Liaqat Ali Awan, Chaudhary Muhammad Ismail, Usman Ali Hashim and others also addressed on the occasion. They demanded United Nations, Security Council and OIC to stop Indian illegal and non Democratic acts in IOK and play their role for the provision of right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir.
