SPC to identify and assist low income families during crisis period

MUZAFFARABAD:    (Parliament Times)   Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government on Tuesday, constituted a high-level “Social Protection Committee” to compile the data of low income and lock-down affected poor families and provide them financial assistance during the crisis period.

The committee, chaired by Senior Member Board of Revenue Fayyaz Ali Abbasi would also devise a strategy to financially support the daily wagers and underprivileged people in the state.

The AJK government has constituted this committee under “Epidemic Diseases Act, 1958”

Secretaries Industries, Social Welfare, Finance, Food, Zakkat, Additional Secretary Home, representatives of BISP and Bait-ul-Maal would be the members of the committee.-
