Prisoners involved in petty crimes to be released on parole: PM AJK

ISLAMABAD:    (Parliament Times)   Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Wednesday said that twenty six quarantine centers have been established in all districts of the state.

He was addressing a high-level party meeting convened on the directives of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and presided over by PML-N President Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Wednesday.

Raja Farooq Haider Khan further told that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have also been provided to the doctors and concerned paramedical staff throughout the state.

“The state government has decided to release prisoners involved in petty crimes on parole”, Haider informed.

The Prime Minister expressed his resolve that his government with public support would effectively fight with the corona pandemic in the state.

“Our government took some toughest decisions in this extraordinary situation. All were in the betterment and interest of masses”, PM added.

He appealed Kashmiri expatriates not to travel to Azad Kashmir in the present situation. “It will be better for them and their near and dear ones”, He said.

Raja Farooq Haider expressed his gratitude to former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and party President Shahbaz Sharif for their concern and all out support to the people of Azad Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif appreciated Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan for handling the corona issue with proactive approach and adequate measures.

“We all could not only fight this pandemic but also get rid of it. PML-N is standing with the people of Azad Kashmir and we are with each others in this tough time”, Shahbaz added.

Chairman PML-N Raja Zaffar ul Haq, former Prime Minister Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Rana Sanna Ullah, Ameer Muqam and others attended the meeting.
