QUETTA: Balochistan government has completed all the first phase measures to deal with coronavirus and sought help from federal government to overcome shortage of face mask and test kits besides announcing to close educational institutions till March 31.
Balochistan government set up isolation wards in Fatima Jinnah hospital, General and Sheikh Zayed hospital immediately after cases of coronavirus were reported. Entry to Iran was banned fully and quarantine centres were set up in Pakistan house at Tuftan border. As many as 4400 pilgrims are camping therein.
Balochistan government spokesperson said services of a private hospital have also been hired for second phase.
Education minister Balochistan has extended closure of all government and private educational institutions till March 31. Only one case of coronavirus has been reported in Balochistan so far who had travelled from Iran to Pakistan.
