Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uziar Ahmed Ghazali has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is responsible for human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that seeking freedom has become a crime for the people in IOK, “IOK is under more than 0.9 million Indian armed forces siege” he reiterated.
He said that our significant social and cultural identity has been affected due to Indian armed forces occupation.
He maintained that our signature campaign is to raise this issue on international forums in which thousands of people have signed the document demanding UN to conduct Plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.
He elaborated that we have started this campaign from Muzaffarabad division and now our next mission is get more signatures from other divisions of AJK.
Uzair said, “After getting 1 lac signatures we will endeavor to develop political, diplomatic and legal pressure on India to stop human rights violations in IOK besides resolving this issue according to UN resolutions.”
He stated that UN must fulfill its promise of Plebiscite.
“More than 22 million People of Jammu and Kashmir are demanding Plebiscite, it is the responsibility of UN Security Council permanent members to play their role for impartial and fair referendum in the region”, Ghazali added.
The signature campaign camp was set in University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Chehla Campus Muzaffarabad on 27th day.
