Islamabad:  (Parliament Times)   (PR)  In all five circles of IESCO i.e. Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and
Chakwal IESCO teams with the help of district administration taking extreme action
against power theft. According to details during current month of February-2020 while
checking 1687 meter of different tariff caught who were steeling electricity by using
different modes. Cases relates to Islamabad circle are 118, Rawalpindi 472, Attock 426,
Jhelum 360, and Chakwal circle are 311.According to the nature of the theft more than
16 lac 46 thousand units charges to element involved in power theft and fine of Rs.more
than 3 core 8 lac also charged. 1620 meters found slow, 50 people were using direct
electricity supply and 13 meters found with holes in body. For legal proceedings
applications have been given in related police station.IESCO Chief Shahid Iqbal
Chaudhry appreciated the field formations struggle against power theft and also
appreciated the support of district administration. Chief requested to valued customers
