FGEIs Directorate conducts balloting for appointment of class – IV

RAWALPINDI:   (Parliament Times)   Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantts & Garrisons) Directorate has conducted balloting for appointment of Class IV in line with Prime Minister’s policy. According to spokesman Wajid Masaud, In this regard here in directorate a balloting session has been conducted. Director General FGEIs (C/G) Directorate major general Muhammad Asghar chaired the session as head of the department. Director Administration Brig Khalid Mehmood Shafi has processed the balloting. Director Colleges Brig Doctor Abdul Hameed, Director School Brig Anwar Hussain and Deputy Director FGEIs (C/G) Chaklala Region Col Saadat Ullah and members of departmental selection committee were also present on this occasion. There were 98 posts of BS 1 to 5 which were advertised in newspapers. 3500 candidates applied for different posts including drivers, Lab Attendants, Naib Qasids, Mali, Chowkidar and Sanitary workers. The departmental committee selected 1 and 2 reserve candidates for each vacancy. The whole balloting process was transparent and in held under camera coverage.

Earlier, Government of Pakistan Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division No. 3/2/2017-R-II Islamabad, had issued a notification on 29 July 2019 and directed to fill up the posts in BS-1 to 5 on local basis through balloting. In the light of the letter FGEIs (C/G) constituted a scrutiny committee which scrutinized the eligibility of candidates in terms of Recruitment Rules of the post concerned and prepared a panel of shortlisted candidates.

The Departmental Selection Committee considered the shortlisted candidates and ensured that names of all the eligible candidates had been included in the balloting and ballot paper of each candidate was included in the Ballot Box.

Balloting conducted by the Director General FGEIs which is one step higher than the Director Administration (Appointing Authority of the post concerned) in the presence of Departmental Selection Committee. Selected candidates will be issued appointment letters after completing codal formalities.

A list will be prepared in sequence of draw of names of candidates, the candidate whose name is drawn first shall rank senior to the candidate whose name is subsequently drawn.

Three names were drawn against each vacancy. Selected candidate has to submit medical fitness certificate as required under Rule 17 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1973 and in case a candidate is declared medically unfit the alternate candidate shall be offered the post.
